06.11.2025 An overview of the main European experiences regarding cohabitation reveals a fragmented landscape, due to the different solutions adopted by each national legal system. The common denominator, however, is the recognition of family life arrangements that develop outside of marriage, regardless of the partners’ sexual orientation.
